1. What is the diffirence between FW Real Estate Ligth and FW Real Estate Pro?

There is a big difference between these two real estate extensions. FW Real Estate Light is a FW Real Estate version that includes basic features only.

Here is the list of different features of FW Real Estate Light and Pro versions.

2. How can I change currency in FW Real Estate Light?

1) To change currency in FW Real Estate Light, please open the file 'com_fwrealestatelight\site\helpers\helper.php' via Notepad++.

2) Find the line 91 and replace '$' into that sign you need. The example is for EUR '€'.

Step-by-step Documentation

Below you will find step-by-step guide 'How to install and configure FW Real Estate Light'. You can always contact us to get more details if some instructions are not completely clear for you.

Part 1. How to Install

Please log into your site back-end and go to Extensions >> Extension Manager.

Click 'Overview' button and choose a zip-file with FW Real Estate Light. Then please click on 'Upload & Install'.

Verify if the installation was successful.

Part 2. How to Use

Please go to Components >> FW Real Estate Light >> Properties.

To create new property please click on button 'New' on the pannel above.

In the tab 'Common information' fill all necessary fields that are marked with '*' and add other details about property if you need.

There is a special editor to add property description. Please note, the date of property creating is generated automatically.

In the tab 'Pictures' you are welcome to upload property photos. The first photo is a default, the others will be displayed in a gallery. Please press 'Save and Close' after uploading your photos.

If you need to delete some pictures, please tick them and click on 'Save & Close' above.

In the tab 'Meta Information' you can add 'Meta description' and 'Meta keywords'.

If you need to change some property's description, please tick it in general listing and click on 'Edit'.

To change FW Real Estate Light settings please open the tab 'Configuration' and click on 'Edit' above.

You can modify pictures' sizes, choose image resizing type and add admin e-mail for sending requests on it. Please note, if you want the pictures will be suited to new parameters, you need to upload them once again after setting new sizes.

To create menu in FW Real Estate Light please go to Menu Manager >> Main Menu.

FW Real Estate Light has only two types of menu items: 'One Property Layout' and 'Properties listing layout'.

You are welcome to view properties listing on the front-end. To get more information about a property, please click 'View details'.

Please find out what fields are available in 'Request form'.

In FW Real Estate Light it is also possible to view the property location at Google Maps. The pop-up window appears after clicking on link 'Map it'.

The convenient gallery with property photos is also available in FW Real Estate Light. You can view images with the help of slideshow and enlarge them via lightbox.

Part 3. How to Upgrade

The important remark: please don't reinstall FW Real Estate Light if you modified coded files, otherwise you will lose all changes.

To reinstall the component please go to Extension Manager >> Extensions and with the help of 'overview' button browse the latest version of FW Real Estate Light which you have downloaded from My Downloads section earlier.

Or it's possible to update FW Real Estate Light through FW Premium Support.
