Not in this version. At this stage we have only one basic design of the component. But we work on component design for the next release and templates will be available very soon.

At the same time we believe that the biggest impact on visual appeal of any site have site template and professional design of FW Folio component available from the next version will help to present Portfolio more professional and will help to match unique look of more site designs. To make it even easier for users we will release component template along with site template. But both items will be available separately.

Does FW Folio support other languages than English?

Not in this version. We are developing plug in for JoomFish to make it work with any languages.

Component labels can be translated through standard Joomla language files, but this requires advance knowledge of Joomla and can be helpful for developers. We plan to post translations in our forum as soon as they are released.

Do I get free upgrades?

Yes, you will be notified as soon as we release a new version of the component. You will receive a link to download new version. You will be able to update to make update manually or send us request to help you updating the component.

All data will be safe and will remain in the component after upgrade.

What do I need before I download a component?

You need a site with Joomla 1.5.x CMS installed and permission to install components and modules. Installing component and module will require some basic knowledge of Joomla. Also make sure you have all requirements met to avoid problems during installation process.

Yes. The first usage of FW Folio program we offer is Professional Event Agency. As there are a lot of ways to use FW Folio we plan to develop new Portfolio sites as Joomla package with template once a month. All developed templates will become available for install through Quick Start service.

Step 1. Log in to the back-end and go to Extensions >> Install\Uninstall

Step 2. Click on Overview button, select a zip-file with FW Folio component and upload it. If everything works fine, then you will get a message “Install Component Success”.

Step 3. Go to Extensions >> Install\Unistall >> Components and enable FW Folio in the list.

Step 4. To display your portfolio on the front-end you need to assign it to your menu. Go to “Menus” >> “Main Menu” and click the button “New”.

Step 5. Find “Folio” component and click on it. Now you can select whether you want to assign to main menu all the categories or just some of them. Let's add services listing view. Click on Default Layout.

Step 6. On the next page you can see a form. Please fill in the title of this menu item. Let's print “Services” and click Save! Do the same if you need to assign other FW Folio categories to your menu.

Step 7. Leave this page and go to Components >> FW Folio.

Step 8. Now you are in the back-end of the component and you can see several categories: clients, forms, services, projects, files and feedbacks. If you want the component work properly, then it is better to fill in the sections in consecutive order.

Step 9. If you need to add a new client to the list, then you click on “Clients” >> “New”.

Step 10. You need to fill in the necessary fields with common information about the client. After you finish, click “Save”.

Step 11. Forms category. Here you can make your form that will suit your needs best.

Step 12. Service category must be filled in the same way. This category has more fields and if you don't want any of the fields to be displayed (description\specification\agreement), then you just don't fill it in. After all you save the changes.

Step 13. To fill in the category Projects, you should fill in Services first, as in the “Type” field you will need to select one of your services. You select the name of the client, from the list, that you already have in the “Clients” category. After making the changes, save it.

Step 14. In Files category you can upload photos and other types of files (like pdf, doc, xls...) for your projects as well as additional description for each of the files. Click “New button” and upload your files with their descriptions! Do not forget to save it.

Step 15. Feedbacks category. Here you need to select the following: date of feedback creation, client's name and name of the project from the drop-down lists. You can upload client's photo and write the text of his feedback in the bottom field. Save the information.

Step 16. In the Configuration you can set the size of the client's logo, user's thumbnail and images. You can set the paginators parameters, which will meet your needs most. Save the parameters.

Everything is done and you are welcome to enjoy your new professional portfolio.
