Meal categories module configuration

Once FW Food menu component is installed, make sure to activate FWFM Navigation module. The module allows to display all categories in a module so you could switch between multiple categories located on the same page. To make it visible on the front-end, one needs to assign it to the menu item. In this tutorial, we will learn how to display FWFM Navigation module on the front-end of your Joomla website.

We will proceed as follows:

How to display FWFM Navigation module

First, make sure that FWFM Navigation module is activated:

  1. Log in to your administrator panel using your credentials.

  2. Locate Extensions dropdown in the top menu of your Joomla control panel and click on it.

  3. Choose Modules from the list.

  1. Find Navigation module in the list of modules.

Now, let's activate the module if it is needed. You can activate the category module in either of two ways:

  • Click Publish item button.


  • Check it.

  • Click Publish button on the top left section of the screen.

Now that we have enabled the module, let's learn how to display it.

  1. Locate Title column.

  2. Find Navigation module in the list and click on it. Thus, you will locate module settings.

  1. Mouse over the Title textbox and enter the name of the module into it.

  2. Locate Show title option and click Yes.

  3. Mouse over the Position dropdown.

  4. Choose content-right from the list.

  5. Locate Status dropdown and choose Published from the list.

  1. Go to the Menu Assignment tab.

  2. Locate Module Assignment dropdown.

  3. Choose On all pages. Thus, the module will be assigned to all menu items.

  4. Click Save button.

Once the module settings are saved, go to the front-end to see how the module is displayed.
