FW Gallery Google Images Plugin: configuration and settings

In this tutorial, we will learn how to import images from your Google images account. If you have Front-end manager installed your users will be able to import Google images as well. To learn how to import Google images via front-end manager, review Front-end manager tutorial.

How to import Google images using FW Gallery Google Images Plugin

To learn how to import Google images, do the following:

First, let’s enable FW Gallery Google Images Plugin:

  1. Go to the Add-ons section following Components=>FW Gallery=>Add-ons direction.

  1. Find FW Gallery Google Images Plugin in the list and enable it. Use add-ons filter to filter add-ons by type.

Once the plugin is enabled, let’s link to your Google account.

  1. Locate Data Management section following Component=>FW Gallery=>Data Management direction.

  2. Switch to the Import add-ons section.

  3. Locate Google images import section.

  4. Locate Google images account username textbox and enter JohnSmith into it.

  5. Click Load Google images gallery button. After that, you will be able to select any gallery from your Google albums.

  6. Locate Source Google Images gallery dropdown and choose your Google gallery from the list.

  7. Locate Target FW Gallery dropdown and choose Landscapes from the list. The images will be uploaded to this particular gallery.

  8. Click Import from Google images button. Your screen should look similar to the screenshot below.
