Having configured the displaying settings, let’s configure image size settings. There are two options for setting the image size:
Use original size. As a result, all images will be displayed in their original size.
Define custom size. You can set a custom size for the images. You should set the biggest dimension of the image here. For example, if the image size is 1000X300, you should set 1000.
For the Define custom size option, there are two parameters available:
Large. This parameter is used for the image preview in the listing or single image view.
Medium. This parameter is used for thumbnail images in the listings.
We will proceed as follows:
First, let’s locate image sizes settings:
Go to the Configuration tab and click Edit button. To learn how to do this, review steps 1-4 of Front-end manager tutorial.
Find Images and Thumbnail sizes section.
Now, let’s configure image sizes.
Locate Define custom size radio button and click on it.
Locate Large textbox and enter 1200.
Locate Medium textbox and enter 370.
Click Save button. Your screen should look similar to the screenshot below.
