You can manage the way your gallery is displayed on the front-end by configuring general gallery layout settings. In this tutorial, we will learn how to configure basic layout settings.
We will proceed as follows:
First, let’s locate general settings:
Go to the Configuration tab and click Edit button. To learn how to do this, review steps 1-3 of Front-end manager tutorial.
Find General settings section.
Having located general settings, let’s now configure them.
Locate Galleries in a row dropdown and select 3 from the list.
Locate Galleries rows per page dropdown and select 2 from the list.
Locate Subgalleries rows per page dropdown and select 1 from the list. .
Locate Default galleries ordering dropdown and select Ordering from the list.
Locate Images in a row dropdown and enter 4. As a result, a gallery grid with 4 columns will be displayed.
Locate Images rows per page dropdown and select 4 from the list.
Locate Default images ordering dropdown and select Ordering from the list.
Locate Pagination type label and select Standard.

With these settings, your gallery layout on the front-end will look similar to the screenshots below.
