Displaying settings overview

You can manage how the galleries and images within the galleries are displayed on the front-end by configuring displaying settings. In this tutorial, we will learn how to configure your gallery displaying settings.

We will proceed as follows:

How to configure displaying settings

First, let’s configure gallery displaying settings.

  1. Go to the Configuration tab and click Edit button. To learn how to do this, review steps 1-3 of Front-end manager tutorial.

  2. Locate Gallery displaying settings.

  3. Mouse over Display layout field and select Default.

  4. Locate Display 'Order by' option field and select Yes.

  5. Locate Display 'Total galleries' counter field and select Yes.

  6. Mouse over Display files counter filed and select Yes.

  7. Locate Display empty galleries field and select Yes.

  8. Go to Display 'No images field and select No.

  9. Locate Display gallery name field and select Yes.

  10. Mouse over Display gallery description field and select Yes.

  11. Locate Display gallery owner name field and Yes.

  12. Locate Display gallery date field and select Yes.

  13. Go to Single image view field and select Lightbox.

  14. Locate Description position and select Over.

  15. Locate Gallery preview description length and enter 100. As a result, the description of the gallery preview image will contain 100 symbols.

  16. Locate Files list displaying settings.

  17. Set Display tags as Yes. As a result, tags will be displayed on the file description preview.

Your screen should look similar to the screenshot below.

With these settings, your gallery layout at the front-end will look similar to the screenshot below.

Now, let's proceed with image displaying settings.

  1. Locate Image displaying settings.

  2. Go to the Display image name field and select Yes.

  3. Locate Display image descr field and select Yes.

  4. Switch to the Display image owner name name field and select Yes.

  5. Mouse over Display image date field and select Yes.

  6. Locate Display image copyright and select Yes.

  7. Locate Display social sharing buttons field and select Yes.

  8. Mouse over Display image tags and select Yes.

  9. Mouse over Allow image download field and select Yes.

  10. Locate Display images slider and select Yes.

  11. Locate Hide magnifier (lightbox effect) field and select No.

  12. Locate Hide info dropdown field and select No.

  13. Go to Description position and select Over.

  14. Locate Image preview description length and enter 100. As a result, the description of the preview image will contain 100 symbols.

  15. Click Save button. Your screen should look similar to the screenshot below.

With these settings, your gallery layout at the front-end will look similar to the screenshot below.
